Hi Al
What a wonderful Sound!
I'm starting a "second life" as a lapsteel comeback player and I'm trying to emigrate from 6 Strings to 8 having playing until now only rock & Blues & Cuban music ; should I start with C6th(with E on Top more confortable)?
Thanks in advance
Yours Artistically
Marino
PS:- I was thinking we both "old cats" have the same taste for music ,listening to your beautiful samples

Al,You are such a great musician. When I was a child and listend to you and your friends practice I knew right then and there that I wanted to be a singer.Because I knew I would never be able to play as good as you but I also know you will never be able to sing as good as me.I have been blessed to have you as my brother along with Melvyn and Pete. You have inspired all of us. Your site is great it is easy to follow through and has great features.Sorry I was so late getting here.

Hey Al...Glad I found your website, it looks and sounds great! I wish I didn't live so far so I could come hear you play in person. If you're ever down at Jim Pali's in Oceanside, give me a call!

Al is the greatest musician I've ever known, not because he is my brother but because it is a fact. He is a constant musical inspiration and source of encouragement.
When I grow up, I want to be just like him.
Great Site.

Hello Al,

The CD's has arrived from New Zealand, and I love them!! Smooth, cool, jazz, my kind of music! I especially like that it's a band, not a solo album. The interaction you have with your band members are great!

Thank you very much for recording this and I can hardly wait until you new CD is released!

Best Wishes!

// Anders

Hi Al & Norma: Well you just never know who you're going to run across these days when you're playing around on the internet. I started out doing a search for the lyrics to "I'm Just an Old Chunk of Coal" and somehow came across you and this site along the way! What a great surprise to find you here. Looks like your family is growing bigger every year. How wonderful. And by the way, thanks again for letting me be a part of your family way back when. I will always keep many fond memories (and hold a special place in my heart) for those times your entire family took me in and helped me find my way around the big city.

I really enjoyed listening to the samples on this site and hearing you play again (except for one thing... I wasn't able to find "The Ballad of Jim & Lola" anywhere - I must have overlooked it or figured you might be saving it for the title cut on your next album??!!

Hope we will get to see each other someday soon, and I wish that L.A. wasn't so dang far from here. Thanks again for all you did for me. Hugs to you both. Stay well. Keep playin'! Jim
